What is an ISMS?

An information security management system is a structured way to manage information security: understanding risks, defining policies and responsibilities, keeping evidence and improving over time. Conforma helps you organize that work.

Does Conforma certify my organization?

No. Conforma helps you organize your ISMS to prepare for ISO 27001 certification and support future SOC 2 audits. SOC 2 is an attestation based on an independent audit, not a certification. ISO 27001 certification is assessed by an independent certification body. Conforma does not guarantee either outcome.

Can I customize my templates and documents?

Yes. The goal is documentation that reflects your organization. You control and customize your own templates and documents, with guidance to help you make informed decisions.

Is Conforma only for Canadian organizations?

Yes. Conforma is exclusively for Canadian organizations, with a focus on smaller teams. Conforma workspace data is hosted in Canada, and service is available in English and French.

Does it guarantee compliance with PIPEDA or Law 25?

No. PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25 are part of the Canadian regulatory context, not a compliance promise. Your obligations depend on your organization and activities. Conforma is not a substitute for legal advice or an independent assessment.

What happens when I request early access?

You’ll open a short external Tally form to express your interest and tell us about your organization. The form is hosted by a third party; we do not claim that information submitted through Tally stays in Canada. Review the form and Tally’s privacy information before submitting personal information.
